Chapter 130. Taking the Throne
The last of the sun’s warmth danced across the black marble of the castle ahead. I could feel the pulse of ancient magic humming under my skin, growing stronger with every mile we drove. It was calling me. Not just to come home, but to claim it.
It was like it was saying my name. As we got closer, I could hear whispers of magic of the town chanting my name softly. It had not been that way the last time I was here.
But I think I kind of understood why it was different now; why I was more connected to the town. I no longer was a hybrid, I no longer had the wolf side of me. So now that I was a full witch, my experience was more extreme than the last time.
Giveon parked the car just outside the wrought-iron gates. We sat there for a long moment, the engine idling in low hum, neither of us speaking.
