I wanted to do everything for her. Fire. I could do anything for her right here and forever, after all, the universe had given me a chance to make this right and I didn’t need to bother asking how it came to be. How she was right at my doorstep or if the universe really thought I deserved one more opportunity with her.
She looked just the same as I remembered her. Her clothes fit every inch of her skin and accentuate her arcs. When I called her name, I was not skeptical about getting her name right, rather I knew she was the one and I wanted to make sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me. Getting to the elevator, I wanted to ask questions about her well-being, what was going on lately in her life, and if she missed me. I just wanted to ask a gazillion questions, but standing in the same space with her in the lift and letting her scent of rosewater fill the air around us, I pushed back the truckload of questions, deciding to enjoy this moment.
