Chapter 87. Harry and Mike

Jasmine was in the middle of surgery. Aiden was standing by the door of the operating room. Catherine sat in a chair.

They were both silent to each other without wanting to make a sound to each other.

After spending several hours there, the light above the operating room door turned green.

The doctor, followed by another doctor, came out of the operating room. Aiden and Catherine rushed over to the doctor.

Thankfully, the surgery went well without a hitch. The patient is still under anesthesia and cannot be seen yet. We will move him to the ward," the doctor explained.

They said goodbye, leaving Aiden and Catherine behind.

Four people came out wearing surgical gowns and pushed the gurney on which Jasmine was lying.

Aiden looked at Jasmine's beautiful face, which was closed.

Jasmine, he murmured as he continued to look at Jasmine without turning his gaze away. Tears hung in his reddened eyes.
