Chapter 117. Oscar-Winning Performance
Two black Range Rovers Velar slowed to a stop in front of Calla and Eli. They both stood outside their apartment, each with luggage by their side as they waited for it to be loaded into the respective vehicles.
Eli's little fingers tightened around Calla's, as they held hands, waiting, both sobbing inside.
"Do you really have to go?" Eli peered up at Calla, his voice low, lips quivering, and his doe eyes tearing up. "And do I need to live somewhere else while you're away?"
