Chapter 13. Under the Table
“Calla? Is that you?” The man asked, disbelief in his eyes. And Calla had shock in hers. Rico had also turned to see who it was that knew her.
She couldn’t speak or move, it was as if time had stopped. She had turned as pale as a ghost.
The man got closer, eyes still on her. Each step he took towards Calla, made her body stiff. “It is you!”
“Mr. Draven,” Rico spoke. The man immediately tore his eyes from Calla and glanced at the man with whom she had her arms locked.
Calla couldn’t breathe, her chest was rising and falling. She wanted to leave here. Far away from him.

“Ah! Mr. De Romano!” The man, whose name was Tristan Draven, threw his arms wide as he said. He laughed so loudly.
Rico didn’t flinch, he stared at the man before him with no expression. He shot a glance at Calla beside him, and he frowned.
Her eyes were lost. Empty.
She looked scared.
