Chapter 42. Blast from the Past

Jenny had gone to the loo while I was waiting outside when my phone started to ring. Looking over at the screen, it was Athena. Talk about the blast from the past; she doesn’t learn, does she? After letting it ring for almost a minute, I pick up the call and she immediately starts talking.

“Long time no see, huh? It looks like things are going really well with your pretty little husband.”

“What the hell do you want?”

She lets out a fake laugh. “It’s not something we can discuss over the phone, sweetie. Let’s meet at the same cafe where we met last time. And I promise, this will be the last time I am going to disturb you.”

“Fine then. I will see you tomorrow evening.”
