Lila’s POV
I swear I had to double-check, to make sure I wasn’t dreaming or hearing things
Because Ryder Black, the same Ryder who once threatened to punch the vending machine for stealing his chips and mooned a teacher and Blackridge’s High bad boy had just gotten down on his knees in front of hundreds of people and said something along these lines.
Urgghhh.
I couldn’t remember a single one of them anymore.
At first it felt like a stupid dream of a four year old but I knew whatever he was cooking wasn’t over yet and I didn’t want him to repeat it because I wore embarrassment like a cloak back there.
I still looked at him as if he had grown a second head as we leaned back from the crowd against the wall behind the ice rink.
“Alright.” I said slowly and tried to slow down my breathing. “Now that the initial shock has subsided we must discuss those rhymes.”
He gave me a sly look. “How was it? Perfect right. Victorian era style.” H
