Ryder’s POV
Too much silence filled the house. I didn’t have to reply to Caleb, I knew what would happen when I got angry, the whole town would have a hard time separating us if we start fighting.
To distract myself, I checked her pulse more than I should have and ran for water while Caleb positioned the pillow . Her breathing was normal.
No fever. There were no bruises. But she looked so pale. Almost white.
