Chapter 42. What’s the Catch?
HAZEL’S POV
“Hands behind your back. I am sure our alpha would be pleased to see you.” A very tall and huge-looking man said approaching us.
“Hazel. I would rather die than get humiliation there. If I am taken in, it would never be willingly.” She whispered to me determination and desperation in her eyes.
“No. Gia.” I started saying, shaking my head but before I could finish she had pulled me with her in a direction. She had been calculating all these while and saw her open route.
We were speeding across the trees but she seemed slow. “Are you okay?” I asked as we ran.
“My hips are broken. I can barely run.” She answered.
We could hear the quick footsteps of the border patrol warriors running behind us. They were catching up on us.
“Try Gia.” I tried encouraging them, but she faltered and stopped.
“I think I broke not just my hip but something inside. It’s not healing.” She winced. She dropped to the floor coughing up blood.
