Chapter 43. Memory Return
ERVIN’S POV
I woke up with a start. I stretched my hands over my bed and could not feel Hazel beside me.
My Hazel! Where was she?
My heart skipped. Suddenly, the memories flooded back in.
Right. She ran away from me. I hoped she would be in her room by now.
I took my bath. Dressed up and headed to her room. Unfortunately, she wasn’t. Her bed was not dressed in and her scent was very faint in the hair. Meaning she was not here. She had not been here for a long while now.
“Be patient. She would be back.”I told myself. I went outside the pack house and occupied myself with pacing up and down. I was waiting for her to walk through the gates into my arms.
Half an hour had gone by.
Then an hour.
Then two hours.
At three hours I went back indoors. I met Charles in his office with a coffee on his table as he worked on some documents. “Good morning Ervin.” He greeted not sparing me a glance.
