Chapter 73. Rifle and Gun

Red sat back and looked at the seemingly endless mud field before them. The smog was so thick that she could hardly see what awaited them as they made their way through the area. Jonah's hands were busy touching the barbs of the wire fence, and he seemed unfazed by what was happening.

They sat there for almost ten minutes after Viz announced the Savage Glory game, not knowing what to do. Meanwhile, people were busy passing by, lost in their own confusion.

“We should move on. There's nothing here, Red. Nothing but ditches and mud," Jonah said.

"I’m not sure where we should go, Jonah."

"What century was the Great War?"

"I don't know, early 19th century. Why?"

"There should be a place to store guns, rifles, things like that." Jonah shifted and carefully placed his foot on the ladder. "Let's try to check each shed."
