Chapter 100. Cold Steel

Before I knew it, it all went quiet. Not the music playing in the house, not the noise and all the random other noises. But the thoughts; the thoughts that had been tormenting me for weeks now. 

It was like they had been told to shut up and they actually listened for once. I stared at the drink in my hand and it was half-way gone. Knowing what had just happened in my head, I literally placed the cup to my lips and drank the whole thing. 

“Lisa, that’s way too much and way too fast,” Nora scolded me, but all I could do was laugh. “You’re supposed to drink it slowly and for at least almost an hour or less.”
