Chapter 105. An Explanation

The very mention of Nora had my heart skip a beat. A bitter taste filled my mouth and I inhaled sharply. “What do you want to know about her?” I looked away, not able to hold eye contact now that this topic had come up. 

An empty feeling filled my chest and I stared at my hands on my lap as I waited for him to speak. The image of Nora lying on the floor, lifeless, filled my mind and no matter what I did, I could not get rid of it.
