The thought weighed heavily on me as I approached her door, each step feeling like it could be my last. If Grace was truly a vampire now, there would be no other voice. I had to end it before she became a threat to Lisa, or even me. 

The idea of taking her life, even after everything she had been through, made me sick to my stomach. But it was something that needed to be done. I had to protect myself, my empire, and the people I care about. 

Dealing with normal Grace was better, it was controllable. But her being a vampire would come with so many uncertainties and risks. I had way too much on my plate right now, I could not afford this.
