Chapter 153. I Need to Talk with Him

I dialed the number into my phone and closed the folder. Before calling, I decided that I wanted to take the folder back to where I had taken it from first. So I did that and returned to the bed, sitting on the soft mattress. 

I pressed the call button and the call went through. I was happy that it did. It rang for a few seconds and then there was no answer. But I was not about to give up. This was practically my only hope. 

I called again and again but it was the same thing. There was no answer. Just when I was about to give up, I called again and someone answered. My heart skipped a beat and I sat up from my lying position on the bed. 

“Hello?” 

“Who is this?” A female voice responded. The person sounded like they were old, or maybe I was just jumping to conclusions. 

“I’m Lisa Morgan Specter,” I replied.
