Chapter 152. I Am Not Yours

Silence. It was quiet as I waited for Josh to say something. Why was he not saying anything? “Are you still there?”

He cleared his throat nervously and then replied, “Yeah, yeah. I’m here, Lisa.” 

“Well, did you get my question?” 

He scoffed faintly. “Yeah, I did.”

“And?” 

“I want to help. Eternity Limited is bleeding out, if it’s not helped right now, it will die. I think you know this too.” His voice was now firm. 

The funny thing here was that he was right. He was right about this. If he did not help, the company could die. But I still did not think that Bradley would want me to take help from the guy. “Yeah, unfortunately,” I replied in a breathy way. 

“So let me help then. I know that you’re the one in charge now. You’re the new CEO, let me help, Lisa.” 

A part of me still did not trust him fully. I wanted to but I just had a feeling that this whole merging thing was deeper than meets the eye. I had a feelin
