Chapter 155. Malibu

I drove home with a heavy heart, but mostly with fear and anxiety nagging at me. I knew that I needed to tell Bradley sooner than later or he was going to find out on his own, making matters worse. 

When I reached back at the mansion, I felt so defeated. I felt like I was a failure. I felt like I could not do anything right. And boy, I hated Josh so much for this. I did not care if he had good intentions or not, I hated what he had done. 

If he truly cared about me or even respected me enough, he would have at least told the board to wait until the twenty-four hours. But he didn’t. And that was something that I was never going to forget.

I turned off the engine and a few tears fell from my eyes freely but I wiped them away before tightening my grip on my handbag and walking into the building. I went straight to the bedroom and changed into something comfortable.
