Chapter 53. At the Home

My heart skipped a beat and I could feel a shiver running down my spine. I froze and did not even know what to do or say. I just looked, staring straight into the cold ice blue eyes of the lady. 

She scoffed faintly and then smirked as if she knew something that I did not before walking right out of the store. My heart was pounding so hard that I felt like I could hear it in my ears. I was still frozen as I watched her disappear into the crowd of random people. 

“Are you okay, ma’am?” Someone’s voice pulled me back to reality. I looked away from the crowd and looked at the man who was dressed in a uniform which made me guess that he worked here. 

I cleared my throat and forced a smile but I was still shaken. My heart was still thumping and I still felt like I was in danger. That was her, that was literally Grace. Why didn’t she do anything?
