Chapter 48. My New Home

Driving away from the house, there was this empty feeling in my chest that I could not explain. It was just there, hugging me tightly and not letting go.

My suitcase was in the back and I was heading for the hotel to collect the rest of my things. While on my way, I made a call to the CEO. I did not know where his place was so I needed to know at least so I could rive there after collecting my things from the hotel.

The phone was connected to the car so I did not have to hold it in my hand as I spoke to him. “Hello?” I started the conversation. Gosh, I sounded so weary, almost like a zombie.

“Lisa? Um, I have been waiting for your call.”

“Oh,” I replied. “So um, the marriage is now public and I’m guessing that I’m supposed to be moving in today, yes?”

“We talked about it,” He chuckled the words out softly. “You are supposed to move in today.”

“Okay, send me the address, I will be there in half an hour,” I replied.
