Chapter 62. Seeing Her

Cold. Why was it so cold? Or was it only me? I could feel the goosebumps rising in my skin as we were led down a dimly lit hallway. 

My heart was thumping in my chest and I kept my eyes on the guy that was leading Josh and us. I think he was taking us to where my grandmother was so I could identify her.

I wish that I did not have to do this though, I really did. I wished that my father was the one here doing this but again, I did not want his pity right now.

So for now, Josh was enough. And besides, I was no longer a teenager, even though I often still thought I was.
