Chapter 64. Confrontation

I knew that look, I knew it all too well. I knew that Mark was coming up to us to stir trouble. And by the look on my father’s face as he stood by their car, it just confirmed it.

It looked like he had tried to talk Mark out of it but the guy would not listen. I knew Mark, that was how he was. He did what he wanted to do and was very stubborn, especially when he had made a decision.

To avoid whatever storm that was brewing, I decided to be the one to face him. I took a few steps forward and stopped him.

“Mark, what are you doing?”

He stopped and chuckled before scoffing. “Lisa, I want to talk to Bradley. “

“What do you want to talk about?” I asked him.

“I just need to talk to him, please get out of my way.”

“Not until you tell me what you want to talk to him about,” I replied, standing my ground. He tried to brush past me but I stopped him. “I’m being serious, Mark.”

“Lisa, I’m not joking, get out of my way.”

“So you can do what? Fight
