Chapter 63. Emotions

From the look on Josh’s face, I could tell that he had nothing to do with that. He had nothing to do with calling my father and the others.

Maybe I was just looking for someone to blame and to be and at. 

“He didn’t call anyone, we found out where you were from the retirement home. What were you thinking? Doing all this by yourself?” My father walked into the room and his eyes landed on the dead body.

“I—“ I didn’t even know what to say. When I opened my mouth to speak, the only thing that came out was a sob. 

He pulled me into his arms and comforted me. “There, there. I’m here, your father’s here.” He hugged me tightly and I hugged him back, crying on his shoulders.

After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and saw Mark, and Bradley standing not far from the doorway. Then Nora walked in.

She could not even look me in the eyes, she kept her head down and stood next to Bradley. 

I broke the hug when I saw her. Sniffling, I asked in a calm
