Chapter 83. Free Therapy

I adjusted myself on the bed and ran my hand through my hair. I knew that I could handle this. I knew that I could find the words to say and use the right tone and everything. I knew that I was able to pull this off. 

But I just needed to get it together. I just needed to try to calm down. I felt like I was a bit overstimulated, especially since Mark had asked the question of whether I had feelings for the CEO. 

“The contract marriage is just an agreement. It’s nothing more or less. I do not have feelings for Bradley,” I began, my voice very firm and calm. “There were other people that could have helped; others who could have done what I had done. But it was my boss who had asked me. My former boss and the CEO. The contract is for a year and I’d have to stay with the CEO during that time.” 

“Even after the company signs the big client?”
