Chapter 10
Michael couldn’t understand why the mayor decided to be so inconsiderate to him or if he had forgotten that he was Michael, the son of the wealthiest man in the United States. He let out a deep sigh as he strolled out of his office to the parking lot.
Various thoughts about why the mayor needed him so urgently ran through his head as he went. He hadn’t expected a call from him or anyone else within such a time frame.
“Where are you heading to, sir?” His secretary asked when she saw him leaving.
“The mayor requires my presence. I’d be back before the close of work,” he assured and darted off before she had the opportunity to call him back.
He was driving down the road in seconds, slowly nodding his head to a Beyoncé song playing in the background.
