Chapter 16
Diana looked on as the car cruised through the city roads and headed for the courthouse. She rested her head back against the seat and closed her eyes in order to relax.
She needed to. She was facing her archenemy today, and she needed to be mentally and emotionally strong. Not that she wasn’t, it was just that she needed extra doses of it.
She took advantage of the trip and began to review the notes she had jotted down. She didn’t want to miss anything and make the prosecution counsel go away with whatever they had planned for the innocent girl.
Diana arrived at court a few minutes later, looking as beautiful, professional, and sexy as she had always been, pulling the attention of both attorneys and clients.
