Chapter 15

Diana didn’t wait for the taxi driver to park properly before hurrying out of the car. She sauntered around the road with only one thought on her mind, and that was to check out her house, but then something crossed her mind and made her pause for a while.

She expected to see the person who placed a call to her standing there even if there was no other person. She saw no one, and it made her suspicious.

“Perhaps, they had put off the fire and had all dispersed, or he’s obviously waiting for me in the corridor,” she said to herself as she hurried down to the house. She was entering the compound when she bumped into her neighbor.

“Strange again!” She muttered under her breath. The scent from her neighbor was so attractive that it left her speechless for a while.

“Hi, Diana. Why are you home so early?” He asked with a surprised grimace.

“What do you mean? Didn’t you hear the news?” She also snapped at him.
