Jasmine and her parents were happy after the judge gave his verdict. They jumped for joy, dancing and laughing with excitement.
“Thank you so much, Miss Wellington. You were our saving grace,” they said.
“It’s nothing serious. I only did my job, and you know, getting justice for her was also paramount!”
“Yes, it was, but if not for the evidence you were able to present to the court, we’d have lost,” her father said with tears in his eyes.
“It’s nothing. By the way, would you like to push the case up? Since we have evidence against them. We can simply sue them for attempted rape.”
“Is that really necessary, ma’am? The most important thing is that I was found innocent. I think we should let it pass. They aren’t worth the hassle!” Jasmine said and paused for a while to see the reaction.
