Chapter 21
The morning had set in earlier than she thought it would, and the moment help came, she vanished without saying goodbye to Michael. She felt so embarrassed to do so. The cab that had come to pick her up from there to get home and then to the office suddenly pulled up in front of the office.
“We are at the office already, ma’am!” He muttered as he took out his phone to end her trip. There was no response from her.
“We are here already, ma’am!” He said again. Perhaps she might have forgotten, or she hadn’t heard him.
“Yes, I know. A few minutes here, and I’d be off,” she responded, blushing like she was in love. Was she in love? She couldn’t tell one bit. She arranged her dress and then made the payment transfer to him, after which she ascended from his vehicle. She walked into the office with a brisk movement and her head held high.
“Good morning, ma’am! You look so excited,” her secretary commented the moment she laid her eyes on her.
