Chapter 30
“Good morning, Eileen,” Michael greeted.
Eileen looked up from her computer. “A pleasant morning to you, Mr. Davenport. I’ll have today’s reports on your desk in no time.”
“Splendid. You’re as effective as always.”
“Not always, sir, your father forced himself into your office again today, and I couldn’t stop him…”
“It’s alright, Eileen.” Michael gave her a quick smile. She smiled back, wondering how Michael garnered patience to deal with his infuriating dad. She couldn’t stand the man.
Michael strode into his office, consciously determined to establish control. Whatever his father needed, he hoped he would be able to give him as fast as possible so he could leave.
“This has to stop,” Michael said, his voice loud enough for the figure in the swivel chair to turn around.
“Ah, the CEO arrives,” Ralph responded mockingly.
Michael ignored him. “This habit you have of overpowering my secretary and forcing your way into my office has to stop.
