DAHLIA
The first thing I felt was the throbbing in my head.
It pulsed behind my eyes like a warning siren, dragging me from the depths of sleep into a world that felt too bright, too loud, and far too unfamiliar. My body was heavy, tangled in sheets that definitely didn’t belong to my bed. The faint scent of cedar and coffee filled the air — expensive, masculine, familiar.

For a full five seconds, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, trying to convince myself I wasn’t where I thought I was. But the perfectly arranged shelves, the dark grey curtains, and the framed painting above the headboard told me otherwise. I was in his room.
