I try to stop myself from thinking about Sebastian as the makeup artist cleans me up. What did he mean by what he said? Does he really think I don’t have feelings for him? All this while, I have been trying so hard to let him know how I feel about him, and now that I have, I take it back, saying that he distracts me… what was I thinking?
But then again, it’s true. I need to concentrate on doing a good job, both at school and at work, so that I can pay my mum’s bills and, most of all, not cause her any worries. That’s the goal. And that means no distraction. Including ones shaped like a sexy, handsome CEO with puckered lips and a mesmerizing look in his eyes.
“You’re free to go,” the artist says, and I nod, dropping from the chair as I reach for my bag, instinctively checking for my phone for messages or calls.
