“Already heading home?” Jack’s voice startled me as I was packing up the last few things on the counter.
I turned, forcing a small smile. “Yeah. My shift’s over.”
He leaned against the counter, studying me for a moment. “Can you wait a little bit more?” He asked.
Left to me, I really don’t mind. But Sebastian? With the way he took my schedule seriously, I better not stay another extra minute. Plus, I don’t want him to misunderstand me like last time.
“I don’t think so. Is there a problem?”
“Not at all.” He affirmed. “I just have something I want to talk to you about.”
“And it’s urgent?” I pestered.
“No. But I might change my mind about telling you if I wait any longer.”
“Oh damn!” I exhaled.
“How about we go back to your dorm together? My shift is over too. I just have a few things to get rid of. We can talk on the way to the bus stop, if that’s okay?”
