Chapter 100. Come to Me

Mary was becoming frustrated as Daniel’s number keeps going to voicemail. This calls for serious concern.

“What the matter?” Bonnie asked. She has been observing Mary. This isn’t the Mary she used to know. Something must be bothering her. She looks a bit frustrated.

“I can’t get hold of Daniel,” Mary replied without even looking up. She continued trying his number.

“Maybe his battery is flat.”

“Maybe he is in trouble.” Mary knew Daniel more than anyone else. She knew Daniel’s number can’t just be unreachable. Her best guess was that he must be in trouble.

As she continued dialing the number, finally it went through. “Hello, Daniel,” she said over the phone.

“If you want to see him again come to the address I will text you,” said a female voice.

Before Mary could ask who she was, the call ended. She might not be certain but she has heard that voice before. That voice sounded familiar. She was able to remember vividly after a few seconds of th
