Chapter 17. Groundbreaking

Clinton brought his mouth closer to Samuel and whispered to him. “Take three dozen from your pack. Find them and inject them with werewolf venom. This will slow them down and buy us some time.”

Samuel breaks into a dazzling smile. He has been waiting for this moment. A werewolf venom or bite of the werewolf could kill a vampire. But for the first family, like Eva and Dean, it could make them weak. They will start hallucinating until the venom wears off from them. Unlike the rest of the vampires, they can’t be killed from a werewolf bite or its venom.

The sun peered through the glass window on the 5th floor of Rick and Nancy’s hotel room.

Their heart is restless with no idea where their daughter would be. Every attempt Nancy made to reach out to her daughter wasn’t successful. Each time she tried a new locator spell, she got zapped away.

She’s not given up.

“I am doing the spell again,” she said.

She has not sle
