The majority of witches use their powers to retain their younger age. That’s the only way they could live like immortals, just like the vampires and other supernatural entities.
“You can say that again,” said Clinton as he gently pulled Mary closer to him. “This is the love of my life, Mary Brown. She’s a gypsy, and we are here for help.”
“She’s pretty,” Kate breaks into a soft smile, fixing her eyes on Mary. “You must have a good taste.”
“I sure do,” Clinton grinned.
“So, this helps you seek. What is it?”

Kate Charles is a long-time friend of Clinton Payne who was rescued from a vicious werewolf by Clinton. She was doing a moon spell under the full moon when a fully transformed werewolf emerged from the treacherous darkness and pounced on her.
As the werewolf was about to drive its claws and fangs into her fragile skin, Clinton pulled him out of her and buried his claws into the wolf. When he pulled out his hand, the heart came with it.
