Chapter 34. Wailing Gypsy
TWO DAYS AGO
OUTSIDE THE VEIL, THE WORLD OF THE DEAD
Mary cried in agony as the flames engulfed her bleeding feet. The excruciating pain kept her screaming aloud like a dying banshee. She remembered her encounter with her grams and her warnings of consequences. She cried the more.
“I repent from my wrongs!”
Her scream was loud enough that it could be heard from a far distance in the land of the dead.
As she creamed in agony, she continued to plead for mercy. The bearded creature turned a deaf ear to all her plea. Instead, he scoffed her and make jokes out of her pain.
As the bearded creature turned around, he focuses his gaze on the troll tied next to Mary. “You are next,” he grinned. He started walking toward the troll with the flaming torch.
A voice interrupted him from proceeding toward the troll. The voice came so close to his ear like a whisper. He flicked around to see who it was, but saw no one.
