Chapter 62
POV: Harmony Winters
We were coming back from the airport, where Rhys and I had seen Jackson off. Although he maintained his stance about us leaving Texas and getting new identities, he still supported our decision to stay back and fight Mr Sovanna if he tried to do something funny.
Before he left, Jackson had told me to stick to Rhys like glue no matter what, and told me he could see it in Rhys' eyes that he will do anything to protect me. At first, he had been worried given that Rhys was a detective, but during the hours he had spent with us, he knew very well not to judge a book by its cover. We had exchanged numbers and promised to be in touch, and he was trying to figure out a way to tell his wife about me, Mason and our father.
“Are you okay?” Rhys asked.
“Yeah, sure. I still just can’t believe it that I found my brother again and he’s even a man with a family now,” I replied.
