Chapter 67
POV: Rhys Anderson
After leading Harmony out of the interrogation room, she headed to the front desk to get back her phone and handbag which had been temporarily seized from her.
“Are you okay?” I asked, unable to make out how she was really feeling with the indifferent expression on her face.
“I will be okay once Mr Sovanna pays for the embarrassment he has caused me,” she said, and I could see the anger coursing through her veins.
“Oh, he will definitely pay,” I assured her.
Her phone and handbag were handed over to her, and the person who gave it to her eyed her like she was some monster. Seriously, why were people like that? It had been lawfully agreed that an accused person is presumed innocent till he was proven guilty, so I couldn’t understand why people liked passing judgements over things without even knowing if it was true or not.
I gave Harmony’s shoulders a squeeze, trying to make her feel happy.
