Book 2: Chapter 32
Michael wheeled himself to his mini bar. He poured himself a bottle of red wine, took a sip, and stared at his legs. He knew his action was not helping him. Dr. Cage told him he had to use his crutches regularly so that his legs would master carrying his weight again, but here he was, back in his wheelchair, all because he wanted to keep the woman he loves close to him. And if sitting in a wheelchair is going to make her stay by his side, then he didn’t mind sitting in a wheelchair.
He heaved a deep sigh as he took a sip from his glass. He stared at the staircase, and his mind ran to the woman in the bathroom. When was the last time a woman bathed in his bathroom? She was the first woman to bathe in his bathroom, and she was going to be the only one. He sat in his wheelchair and took little sips from his glass. He didn’t even know how long had passed until Gary walked in.
Gary approached him and sighed as he saw that his boss was drinking
