Chapter 36
"I think so, damn, I'm an idiot," he mutters, getting up from the couch. He searches for a sweater in his room and rushes out, trying to put it on but struggling due to his haste. "I'm going to talk to her; you can stay overnight in Noah's room."
"Sorry, too weird for me," I reply, standing up. "I'll head back to the hotel."
"Are you sure? You can stay here with Benton; there's a spare room apart from Noah's."
"See you tomorrow, Evans."
"Thanks for opening my eyes," he says as a farewell, tossing me the keys.
Evans's personality is quite different from mine. He tends to be loud and goofy, makes jokes, and likes to flirt with anything that moves. In that sense, he's like my old self. But I can't be noisy or cause a lot of commotion; I'm more the calm and composed type. I think that's another reason we get along so well – we complement what the other lacks. I gather up all the things we had scattered around while playing and head out. I'll talk to Benton
