Chapter 35
I can't concentrate on Angry Birds when I have to listen to Noah and Alana arguing on the other side of the room. They've been shouting at each other for twenty minutes.
Evans pretends like nothing's happening, and I wonder if this is a normal behavior for both of them. There's a loud crash from their room, and I turn to look down the hallway. I hope Evans gets up and does something, yells, or gets frustrated, but he just rushes out to see what's happening on the other side of the room. I follow him to see if anything bad has happened to Alana, and we find Noah holding onto her arms, both of them crying. The lamp is shattered on the floor, so we assume that's what made the noise a few minutes ago.
Evans' face is expressionless, and Noah lets go of Alana when he sees his best friend looking at him, frozen.
"What did you do to her?" Evans asks.
"We were just talking," Noah responds, taking a few steps back.
"Alana..."
"Evans," she says, wiping
