Taylor’s POV
I had made up my mind. I needed a break from the stress and emotional turmoil that had consumed me in recent weeks. Grant’s words still lingered in my mind, but tonight I wanted to focus on myself and reclaim a sense of freedom, even if just for a few hours.
I dressed casually, slipping into a comfortable pair of jeans and a loose-fitting blouse. Taking a deep breath, I stepped out of my apartment and hailed a cab to a local bar. The familiar sounds of laughter and music greeted me as I walked through the entrance, instantly lifting my spirits. I found an empty seat at the bar and ordered a beer, relishing the cool liquid as it slid down my throat. I observed the lively crowd around me, their carefree energy infectious. The vibrant atmosphere provided a much-needed respite from my troubles.
