Chapter 33

Ivy babbles to me how her stay with Mom and Dad went, speaking in two word sentences, while I hurry around and do some last minute shopping before finally driving back to Lily and I's shared apartment. Dylan's parents offered to move me and Ivy in with Dylan back at his apartment in the hotel, but I would prefer we got our own place, with our own money, outside our workplace. Not that I'm not grateful to Auntie Sylvia for suggesting the idea in the first place, but after a long day of cleaning hotel rooms, I'd rather not live inside one. Dylan couldn't agree more, it's just that things have been kind of slow on the buying a different apartment front, especially since we want to do it ourselves without accepting much help or hand-outs from anyone. As a result he's so busy overworking himself as the new RDM that I barely get to see him outside work. He makes time for Ivy though which is more important, so I guess it all works out.
