Chapter 35

(Dylan’s POV)

Bright and early the next morning, Ava and Lily head off to work while I head back to my place to shower and change clothes, then hop into my car and start the journey to my parent's house.

It's been a while since I paid them a visit and they were bothered enough by it to say as much on the phone call yesterday, so I tried to put in some effort to look good.

I'm wearing brown chinos, my favorite pair of sandals and a crisply pressed polo shirt. I also slathered a reasonable amount of cologne on, so there should be no problems there.

Idly, I fiddle with the radio switch until a song I heard Ava humming in the shower filters through my ears. Satisfied with the selection, I ease into the journey ahead.

It doesn't take long till I'm pulling up to the gates of the Belfrost family home. I honk at the security men and they quickly open the gates, smiling as I drive in. "Welcome home Sir, it's been a while"
