Chapter 18
The next morning, I woke up with a massive headache. Last night, Joshua and I went to bed after midnight, and I did my best to steer the conversation away from Emiliana. At some point, it seemed like he had forgotten about the various plans to catch her, and honestly, some of them were too crazy to repeat. I appreciated my friend's support, but I had to admit he never held back when he wanted something, even if it meant making a complete fool out of me.
I slipped my feet into my slippers and walked to the living room. Joshua had stayed on the couch, so he had woken up earlier, and at the moment, I had a funny view of him wearing a heart apron while preparing breakfast and dancing around the kitchen. I tried to keep a straight face so he wouldn't notice my presence, but I couldn't help bursting into laughter, causing Joshua to look in my direction.
