Chapter 20
AMANDA
Riding in the car with Emiliana had become my new nervous trigger. Ever since we had met at the bar near the university, my heart had been pounding, eagerly awaiting, almost desperately, the next thing to come out of her mouth.
Everything about her was so damn elegant that for a moment, I feared I would seem insignificant in her eyes, her beautiful sapphire eyes.
It was more than obvious that she was flirting with me; even a blind person could see it, as Emiliana was not subtle about it. However, the doubt still lingered as to whether she did it because it was her personality or because she was genuinely interested.
I needed to change my brain; this one enjoyed tormenting me with questions I could ask directly. Unfortunately, that wasn't me; I had never taken the first step in anything.
Emiliana, on the other hand, appeared very relaxed, contrasting with my obvious agitation. She even hummed a song I didn't know, which was playing on the radio.
