Chapter 66. Alicia’s Surprise Gift

Aria POV

Daniel was tongue-tied. He instinctively placed his arms around my waist, bringing me closer to him. I thought he would be upset after I ordered Lea’s imprisonment but his expression showed nothing of the kind.

“How did you do that? How is it possible that you have such a powerful wolf Aria?” he mind-linked me and I shrugged.

“I guess my wolf grows stronger as I do, Daniel. What can I say? Are you mad at me for sending Lea to prison?” I asked.

“You did well, Aria. We could not afford for Lea to make trouble tonight. She doesn’t listen to a word I say. Being locked up there is for her own good. I feared that my father would attack her if she stayed here any longer. All these men you see are Alphas who will want an alliance with me after I become the Alpha. My father would never forgive me if Lea ruined this night for us. I don’t know how she escaped my father’s guards,” he admitted.
