Chapter 70. First Argument

Daniel POV

I left the dining room feeling guilty for leaving Lea in the dungeon for so long. All I wanted was for her to leave us alone on our wedding night and not cause any trouble. I planned on releasing her after the wedding reception. With Aria’s heat and what followed, I had forgotten entirely about Lea.

“Daniel!” Aria’s voice stopped me.

I turned around and Aria was standing facing me, her hands fisted, her face contorted with anger.

“How dare you leave me alone at the table like that? Do you think they are all idiots and don’t realise where you are heading?” she growled through our mind-link.

I stood still, realising my mistake.

“I can’t allow Lea to stay in prison any longer,” I justified my behaviour and Aria stepped forward with a murderous look.
