Chapter 71

As soon as the name was out of my mouth, I heard a loud beep sound from his phone, and Stefan tucked it into his pocket. “I asked why you are here,” he repeated.

“I’m scared to be alone. The room was dark, the hallway was dark, and everything is just dark!”

“Are you a child? Why are you scared of the dark?” He asked in disbelief and shook his head. However, before he could close the door on my face, I grabbed his wrist. “Damn it, woman!” He shouted.

“Can we just stay in the living room? We can use the sofa,” I suggested.

“Are you crazy? Why would I sleep on a sofa when I got a comfortable bed?”

“Please, Stefan. I really can’t sleep in the dark!”

“Look. You could be telling the truth or lying, but I don’t really care, Chloe. I am tired, and I need to sleep right now,” he stated, and once again, he was about to close the door again. “Okay fine! You can come in, but you must stay on the sofa, understand?”
