Chapter 132. The Hospital Room

Leah’s POV

I adjusted myself on the bed and kept looking at the guy, waiting to hear what he had to say. But it just seemed like that was not happening, he kept opening his mouth to talk but then would just close it. 

I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. “What is it, Rafael? You’re making me nervous.” 

He swallowed hard, his face still pale like there were ghosts all over the room, scattered everywhere. Then he scoffed, a hard look taking over his features. “You don’t have to worry, it’s nothing.” He ran his hand through his hair, flashing me a smile that I knew was forced and fake. 

But at least I could see that he was trying very hard for it to not appear that way. 

I furrowed my brows. “I don’t understand. You just said that you wanted to tell me something. And then suddenly you don’t have anything to say? Make it make sense.” I chuckled weakly. But the truth here was that I really wanted to know what he was
